This isn't a generational problem. It's a cultural one.
fjern was founded on a simple observation: the resilience challenges in today's workplaces run deeper than demographics.
The founder's story
After 10+ years managing teams in financial services, Joe Brown kept seeing the same thing: good people struggling to get through difficult situations, not because they were weak, but because something in our modern culture and climate has quietly eroded our collective resilience.
The easy narrative is to blame younger generations. But Joe saw it across every age group, every level of seniority. That told him the problem, and the solution, runs much deeper than demographics.
fjern is his attempt to do something about it.
Our mission
We're building an evidence-based platform that helps organisations develop genuine, lasting resilience across their workforce. Not with generic wellbeing content or one-off workshops, but with personalised programmes, real-time analytics, and tools designed for the way modern teams actually work.
What we believe
Resilience is a skill
It's not a fixed trait you either have or don't. Resilience can be developed, measured, and strengthened over time.
Culture drives change
Individual wellbeing programmes fail without organisational culture change. We address both.
Evidence over opinion
Every tool and programme we build is grounded in research, not trends, not guesswork.
Where we're headed
fjern is currently in early development. We're working closely with HR leaders, workplace psychologists, and forward-thinking organisations to shape the platform around real needs, not assumptions.
More details about the team and our approach will be shared here soon.
